Hermes, London

If you happen to be along Bond St. this week, Hermes have installed these life-sized graphics containing a selection of their products. This is an interesting development on the use of graphics in store windows and I thought I had seen just about every combination, whether in light boxes, suspended, repeated, spherical, stepped, cubed, in the style of a famous artist, such as Warhol, and the list goes on, but this is a new one for me. I sent these and other images to my colleague in NYC who immediately noticed the reflection in the glass of the windows opposite Hermes. If you look closely you can see almost ghostly figures reflected in the windows from Burberry across the street. Anyway, I am not sure how I feel about these windows. Perhaps I was expecting something a little more luxurious from a luxury brand? Maybe tell me what you think?
