With London Fashion week recently upon us here in London Phase Eight which continues to do such interesting schemes was rocking the high street.  Great to see this young brand finding its feet , spending those budgets and investing in great visual merchandising.  Such a nice team too.

Harrods, London

Wow, how incredible are these..!  This amazing 'Etch' body form collection by Global Display have been designed by the talented Fashion Designer Christopher Beales for London Fashion week and have been integrated into the super luxury department store Harrods here in the centre of it all. The collection is biodegradable and much lighter than a standard mannequin.  Win, Win for all then.  Check out Global Display at their website for more information http://global-display.co/london-studio/

Canadian High Commission, London

It really is so refreshing to view Visual Merchandising techniques applied to non retail spaces.  VM of course can be seen everywhere we look (if we really look) and at the newly refurbished Canadian High Commission on Trafalgar square the team here have added a touch of fun and bags of personality.  Who knew such an institution would look so good?  Anyway, a great range of narratives based on some of the worlds best known inventions.  Who would have guest that the paint roller was invented by a Canadian?  Ever played Trivial Pursuit, then you guest it, invented by Canadians.  If you happen to be cabbing passed their building, do glance across and be amused and amazed.

Bugatti BMore, Dubai

Images Courtesy and Copyright Bugatti BMore

We are always pleased to see what people around the world are doing and great to receive images from our own well trodden path in the Middle East, Dubai.  Here at Bugatti Bmore the team have created a photography inspired theme with which to surround and support their merchandise.  Weren't the days of reels of film just the best years ever?  We have suitcases filled with images which we will probably bequeath one day to an organisation who are vaguely interested in this part of the 21st century, but then we are romantics at heart.  If you are reading this in the Middle East then do go and check out these guys.

Joseph, London

We really do appreciate contributions to this site to keep those VM wheels in motion and even better when we received these.  Joseph along the Fulham road is one of those stores that simply leaks the creativity from their windows and we are enormous fans.  This installation developed from their SS15 show in collaboration with Yasemen Hussein who sculptured and created these Geisha inspired headpieces on suspended bust forms which gently rotate in their Zen-like garden environment.  The Bamboo background has been gently illuminated in order to create an additional layer of depth and form the contrast between restriction and ease.  Just stunning work from the guys at Joseph..

Gant, London

A vision of Greenery at Gant right now.  With the launch of their La Prep collection the brand here have leaped into Spring and what a welcomed relief.  Fauna everywhere and the only Blue and White that we have seen everywhere else recently is only in the product.  Beautifully produced of course as always.

Ted Baker, London

This was probably one of those Valentines schemes which we saw recently although it wasn't obvious at the time as we were rather impressed with the intensity of the colour at Ted Baker.  The brand tend to install the kind of things we used to see along Carnaby street in the 80's and 90's but we filed it under colour and have only just realised that we probably got it all wrong.  But there you go.  So large cut outs declaring Pure Love, Teds Tonic and a bit of passion thrown in with the strap line 'A bit of What you Fancy'.  Fancy.

Liberty, London

Well, what can we say, how wonderfully delicate is this scheme.  Cut outs and soft tones beautifully support the luxury product here suspended in full view of the passersby.  Ticking all of the right boxes working so well with those hard to work window spaces.

Jack Wills, London

We haven't included this brand much but we do pass it frequently to see what they are doing and were really quite wowed by this installation.  We can see hints of the Blue and White which we have seen around London recently but in the next few windows we will also show the addition of other colours too.  J W London is looking really cool and thankfully they appear to have moved away from that awful faux heritage Varsity malarkey and pitched perfectly at probably the 18 - 25's market.

Akris, London

This isn't the most revolutionary scheme on the high street although we wanted to include it as part of the Blue and White installations trend we are seeing right now.  Great photography, great product although we do wish that they would be a little more adventurous with their windows.

John Lewis, London

If there is one thing that John Lewis is so good at it really is home products (well obviously beyond the superb customer service and unshakable quality of this brand),  And these windows..!  We were quite struck by the intensity of this magnificent Blue (which appears to be the same as the YSL house in Marrakesh, although who knows).  Great presentation of home ware and and fantastic products too.

Diesel, London

There is merchandise by the super truck load in Blue and White right now so clearly another one of those key trends.  We don't always manage to capture the windows at Diesel as they pull down the shutters and off they go before we get there.  But not on this occasion. With the launch of their Brave New Frontiers in Denim Craft (what does that actually mean?) we have drips and splashes or paint into which the jeans appear to be semi plunged.

Dover St. Market, London

We may have just slipped this one in before it changes as the next installation apparently is a Dior Diorama but we wanted to show this as part of the textured White trend happening all around town and here it is.  There's never very much information on this brands website to find out anything about their installations which is always a bit of a shame but there you go.  A textured White installation called Flora Albus by Elena Dawson.

Isabel Marant, London

Who would have thought that paper plates would actually look so good in a window scheme, eh?  Well here are Isabel Marant, probably not hundreds, but lots of them anyway (life is too short to count them) have been suspended in a repetition format, essentially, repetition of radiating forms and of course we have the textured White again.  These guys dont tend to change their windows very often therefore we wont be able to show you what they do next for quite some time so in the meantime we will have to lap this one up (horrible bust forms though)

Chanel, London

There appears to be a bit of a 'New Age' theme going on right now.  Those of you of a certain age will remember the 89 / 90 collections which dominated the fashion scene led by Rifat Ozbek where everyone, well we say everyone but obviously not everyone, but you know what we mean, wore White with Silver at the dawn of the new decade.  As we mentioned yesterday we are seeing a lot of textured White and here at Chanel it has been used as a lacy backdrop framing the merchandise.
