Max Mara, London

This was clearly a scheme aimed at London Fashion week, although the colours used here are so beautifully selected that we couldn't help but include it.  The schemes at this brand don't seem to change as often as they did prior to their store under going renovations but they have opened up the space and use it to their full advantage, and of course the presentation is as immaculate as one would expect.  Just check out our video to get a better sense of the window space at this store along Bond Street. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iiQyx_nWjx0

Dover st. Market, London

This is possibly one of the simplest schemes that we've seen at Dover st. Market and of course in true branding style it flows through to the surrounding brands' stores too.  If you are not familiar with this scheme, it is of course Gucci.  We cant wait to see the new Dover st. store in its new home in the former Burberry site along the Haymarket.  We're not holding out for an invitation to the grand opening although stranger things do happen but we will of course post some images of their windows for you once it does.

Hermes, London

Another corker of scheme at Hermes now.  Do go and have a look at this one if you can as they do appear to do different schemes everywhere which is very refreshing.  Outlines of a bench, trees and dog in one window, artists canvases and clouds with lightening and umbrellas (image above) in others.  The windows here are a gift that just keeps on giving.  Check out our video here for a closer look https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-YLJRG8M_g

Daks, London

We often pass this brand and wish it was just a little bit more theatrical, although this is one of our favourite schemes from them for a while.  With work from The Geometric collection by Nicola Wallis proving that collaborations are still as strong as ever although perhaps the artwork here could have been a little more spatial rather than an installation surrounded by very well dressed mannequins - not a critique, just a suggestion to gain greater impact. Our favourite part of the window is above.  How cool does she look, eh..!  Check out our video here for a view around the space https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rbv1s0w1hyQ

Stella McCartney, London

We haven't always been very charitable about this brand's schemes but recently they are really sharp and great quality.  Their current Fur Free installation, besides being a worthy cause, does exactly what its meant to do; it communicates loud and clear that fur is wrong and with modern technology-led fabrics it is also quite unnecessary to wear it.  Check out our video as what you cant see in a still image is that the word 'Free' glows and flickers drawing in the passers-by.  If you cant see the video here, just click on the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHwSeI2REAM

Warehouse, London

We're really big fans of this brand and their incredibly well thought through narratives behind what they do.  Their latest scheme is a collaboration between themselves and B.A.(Hons) Fashion Visual Merchandising students at London College of Fashion.  After weeks of working with the students the Visual team selected Emma Fearn and her scheme inspired by the Giants Causeway as the winner and implemented this scheme recently.  Check out their website link here to see the full story.  http://www.warehouse.co.uk/blog/2015/work/14424-london-college-fashion-emma-fearn
You can also see the scheme in closer detail in our video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dj5p0P21IVw

Aishti, Middle East

Images Courtesy and Copyright Arte Vetrina Project

In celebration of the opening of the Aishti Foundation building as the new destination of Art, Food and Fashion, the latest campaign for this brand directed by Sagmeister and Walsh has been inspired by the Sea.  The models used for the campaign were photographed inside fish tanks and rooms filled with Ocean water.  The team at Arte Vetrina Project have used this as the starting point of this campaign to implement the latest window installation at the Aishti stores as seen here.

Miss. Selfridge, London

This is a rather belated inclusion which we havent had the opportunity to include until now, although what a great one from this brand.  In conjunction with Genesis Mannequins and their launch of their latest collection Tesselation, this brand is looking rather grown up and serious.  A welcomed new look indeed.  Check out our short video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkQ4EPeC0J8

Cadenzza, Innsbruck, Austria

Copyright David Schreyer and Courtesy of DFROST

In celebration of the Oktoberfest in Munich due to happen soon, Cadenzza have just launched their latest incredible scheme at their Innsbruck store.  If you are not sure what the Oktoberfest is then essentially its the worlds largest Beer festival and travelling fun fair.  The guys here have implemented a fantastic traditional merry-go-round referencing this incredible event.  If you happen to be in Innsbruck do go and take a look and maybe see if you can find any additional schemes marking this event, perhaps let us know?

Cos, London

This is a very simple scheme from this brand and the kind of 'scando' look we often see here.  Launching their AW15 magazine the simplicity of this installation highlights rather more clearly how important this publication is to them (they have actually updated this scheme now however, naturally keeping us on our toes)  We love the theatre and narratives behind window schemes ourselves but do appreciate the thinking behind theirs.  Our very short video we hope captures this a little: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wY4QTYdnzAc

Oasis, London

With their Up My Street scene Oasis as always do such an incredible job with their Visual Merchandising.  The backdrop, a great street perspective, the kind of thing that reminds us of a stage set we once saw at La Scala in Milan.  OK, well not as enormous as La Scala but communicated perfectly well in the windows here just a stones throw away from Oxford Street.  Another little winning scheme from this brand.  Check out our video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUwLshBS-WQ

Louis Vuitton, Series 3 Exhibition, London

We've been to peruse the latest Luxury Brand Exhibition today, Louis Vuitton, Series 3.  Do try and go if you can at the venue along the Strand as it really is worth the experience and time to explore this phenomenal brand.  If you aren't in London (but wish you were) then you can view our short videos of the experience throughout the exhibition space.

John Varvatos, London

We are clearly well and truly into AW15 and here at John Varvatos we have one hell of an Autumnal scheme.  Branches and street scene communicate the flavour of the season perfectly well.  Superb merchandise as always although, those Black trousers are rather cheekily snug...;o)  Check out our video to see what we mean.

Lacoste, London

The theme at Lacoste right now highlights the Vintage Sporting Spirit with their latest Back to Block collection here along Regent street.  This is possibly not the most exciting thing happening right now although of course we do try and include everyone that does something interesting and of course its worth perusing what these guys are doing too.  Perhaps a little more theatre in here would make us go back again and again.  Check out our video too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RylkQBGTWM

Ted Baker, London

Images Courtesy and Copyright http://www.elemental.co.uk
Proving that not all high street mid-range retailers need to look the same, Ted Baker have launched their incredible 'Curiosities' scheme here in the centre of it all.  The shoot for the scheme took place with the historic Natural History Museum where the models were portrayed as collected items with the windows here containing the 'fine specimens' with a range of creatures such as flamingos, lobsters and bugs, some of which have the Ted Baker signature print.  Grassy and moss filled plinths elevate the product and catch the passers-by attention in this superbly dynamic scheme.  If you happen to be in town, do go and check them out.

Banana Republic, London

As a speciality wear provider, Banana recently has been looking so good.  With their Grey back drop, bicycle graphics in a repetition format, bicycle prop and of course their 'What moves you' strap line, the simplicity of their schemes appears to be their strength and gives clear differentiation from the other other retailers along the main drag of Regent street.  We often wonder, that, if we removed the the logos from the outside of some of the stores on the high street whether we would ever know the difference between some of these mid range retailers; these kinds of schemes besides being great to view do help to give that differentiation and of course are most welcome.

Liberty, London

With their incredible interpretation of the National Theatre's play 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time', doesn't Liberty look absolutely incredible?  The play itself which is based both in Swindon and London is about a 15 year old amateur detective called Christopher John Francis Boone who is also a Mathematics genius.  The main thread of the plays' narrative is the mystery surrounding the death of a neighbours dog found speared by a garden fork.  We wont give the ending away but if you cant go and see the play then at least go and appreciate the spectacular interpretation at Liberty or just view our quick video here.    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJDWUjFf-SA

H&M, London

Just in time for London Fashion Week, H&M have launched their AW15 collection and, we have to say it, this is one of their best schemes to date at their Oxford Circus store and what a corker it is.  The products here (as seen at the Paris Fashion Week show) are placed inside a capsule, and therefore we guess a capsule collection (!) glows across Regent street like a beacon.  Just check out our video as this one looks superb. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCyMEs42Zoc

Hyundai Department store, South Korea

Images Courtesy and Copyright Prop studios

To celebrate the grand opening of the Hyundai Department store in Pangyo, South Korea, those clever guys at Prop studios have created this incredible installation based on the narrative 'Around the world in 80 days'.  To communicate the theatre of the fictional voyage, the team have included out sized props such as this incredible enormous Whale made of leather and fish encased in acrylic bubbles.  Beyond the usual, but amazing schemes at Bergdorf Goodman in New York, we rarely see such magnificent installations and how fantastic to view them happening beyond the usual VM hubs around the world.

Canadian High Commission, London

Celebrating the Queens 23,226 days as monarch or a staggering 63 years, it was great to see that the Canadian High Commission had picked this up as something to celebrate.  With such events being the kind of thing which we may never know again this was the only nod to this historic occasion which we could find here in the centre of it all.  If Simon Doonan had still been at Barney's we can imagine that he would have produced the most entertaining installation (albeit waspish) which we would have talked about for years.  Sadly no one else picked this up, so missed opportunity we guess but great to see Canada House have their fingers on the pulse of events.

Hogan, London

For such small windows this brand really do make an effort to present their products so creatively.  A large format graphic of the cityscape and models of skyscrapers together with illuminated traffic lights and 'don't walk' signage create an interesting narrative around their product.

Ermenegildo Zegna, London

Zegna is rocking a beautifully simple scheme right now for their latest installation which highlights their made to measure service.  Out sized shiny needles surround one of their beautiful jackets in front of a perfectly illuminated panel focusing the passers-by's view into the centre of the window.

Gina, London

A collage-style scheme with a mixture of product handling in a gravitational format and triangular and rectangular printed background punctuated with mannequin legs is the scheme at Gina right now.  We often pass this store but rarely capture it as they dont tend to change this windows very often, so this is a welcomed relief from what we normally see.
