Lanvin, London


This is a slightly more interesting version of the scheme we recently featured on this site while we were in Dubai.  With its illuminated fixture and a nod to a cruciform these fixtures are not exactly blowing our minds although maybe its symptomatic of where we are at this time of year; kind of in between seasons.  Maybe with pending Valentines schemes this brand will do something with a bit more narrative moving forward?

Joseph, London

This was one of our favourite brands/stores for creative schemes throughout 2016 and just look at this one.  Never failing to disappoint in just one window this brand shouts loud, very loud.  Inspired by the work of Julio Le Parc, specifically the Red sphere, the brand in conjunction with www.harlequin-design.com have suspended hundreds of cut acrylic pieces to create this installation with mannequins seemingly randomly positioned through the space in quite unexpected positions.  Just watch this space as we continue through 2017 as this brand no only continue to surprise and delight but really are leading the way in creative thinking.

Etro, London


No sooner had we written our last entry on this brand that they changed the scheme.  Looking more like a Prada scheme (this is a good thing) than a usual Etro one the abstract forms in the background simultaneously both complement and oppose each other just enough to work so well.  Of course the usual product handling dynamics have been applied but the use of both colour and pattern we so often view at brands such as Prada has been beautifully orchestrated.

Michael Kors, London


We haven't included this brands new store since they moved along Regent street and this scheme shines across the road right now.  Multiples of Golden cut out feathers form the backdrop to the product here which looks impressive when you see it for yourself although apart from that there isn't much else to mention.

Brooks Brothers, London


We haven't looked or included Brooks Brothers in a very long time here on www.retailstorewindows.com although of course they do produce quality schemes.  For some reason, this type of menswear is just not very exciting although Hugo Boss are doing some amazing stuff at the moment and seem to be able to inject a bit more interest into their schemes.  The backdrop drew us in here to take a closer look as these tiny cut out outfits in a repetition format looked quite fun and fingers crossed the brand become a little more adventurous over the coming year.  C'mon Brooks Brothers, be brave?

Anya Hindmarch, London


A very simple and yet powerful scheme at Anya Hindmarch right now.  Continuing along the route similar to the Pop Art movement or emoji's a giant inflatable 'smiley' and repetition of fried egg graphics fill their space at the Bond Street store.  This is quite a small window space at this store but wow, shouting a huge message.

Penhaligons, London


Although this store have quite small windows the scheme here really does look extremely vibrant.  This stunning installation for their latest product looks superb even though the store is tucked away in between two giants of the high street.  With its spectacular Peafowl (we imagine it is a Peacock due to the references to the iridescent tail although the product is actually an Eau De Parfum) this scheme really does illuminate across Regent street and do check out their website too as the illustrated animation is fantastic and a great example of some joined up thinking.

Chanel, London


Following on from our post on Hermes yesterday and all things squirmy Chanel have installed their latest scheme which consists of air con ducting (or flexible ventilation ducting).  There's not much else that we can say about this scheme other than that as their is nothing else here.  We are fans of an industrial aesthetic ourselves although this isnt really doing anything for us.  Maybe you feel differently?

Hermes, London


Thankfully the latest SS17 schemes are coming in thick and fast so we have lots to show you over the next few weeks before we hit Valentines.  There appear to be a lot of quite odd shapes and structures appearing across the high street, some abstract and some like this one at Hermes along Bond street.  Greek (or possibly Roman as they look very similar) pillars in a fluid format support the product in their latest scheme.  We will eventually work out what the directive is for this brand for 2017 although we are still slightly clueless until we see a few more installations and hazard a guess.

Bally, London

Although the weather here in London is typically cold, wet and generally quite miserable, at least SS17 schemes are slipping in quite nicely already.  High gloss geometric plinths and chequered tiling are a bold statement against the bright coloured walls at Bally in the centre of all things luxury.   This scheme has been inspired by the colour palette of the brands SS17 press presentation in Milan and each of the elements used here are interchangeable, versatile and easy to install.   Another winning scheme produced by those clever guys at www.millingtonassociates.com

Etro, London


Backlit textured panels in Gold with a kind of Paisley pattern form the backdrop to this scheme with its hexagonal plinths as the central focal point to the scheme.  There's not much else to comment on this installation but as always this amazing brand takes small steps in its promotion of its products in Visual Merchandising which is neither offensive or risque.

Moschino, London


Both retro and launching into Spring, Moshino is a riot of colour right now.  This is probably some of the best merchandise we have seen from this brand (even though they seems to 'borrow' from everyone else much like the period of Pop Art).  Mannequins have been positioned within these giant flowers filling their windows along Conduit street and is actually a welcomed relief from the cold weather we are experiencing here in London.

Max Mara, London


We've spotted a lot of blocked colours around town at the moment across so many brands although this scheme has been in situ for a short while already so rather ahead of the game.  DVF and Burberry are equally sporting the use of colour in their schemes which seems to clear the visual palette after months of sparkling trees and twinkling lights before we head full force into Spring.  As usual a superb quality installation at this brand using Bonaveri's Aloof mannequin.

Patek Philippe, London


This is a brand that seemed to have crept up on our VM-dar quite a lot.  With an incredible history and of course products which are superb (but so often the Visual Merchandising is so overlooked across so many brands like this) although even the windows have proved to be quite incredible too.  Beautifully cut landscapes clearly nodding to their Swiss heritage fill these windows at their store along Bond street with a scheme that would certainly rival the likes of Tiffany just a few metres away.
