Chanel, London

We happened to pass by when this scheme was being installed and had anticipated seeing large digital screens being added on completion although this is far more interesting.  We've been racking our brains trying to think of what this is called....possibly a computer data / telecommunications data storage system, all complete with flashing lights and wires, lots of wires.  This is possibly the best scheme we have ever seen from this brand.

Havaianas, London

If you happen to be either in White City or Carnaby street then do check out this scheme from Havaianas.  Miniature favelas fill their windows to launch a new collection of their flips flops designed in collaboration with Ricardo Negro who's spirited paintings of San Paulo were at the heart of this project.  These beautiful images have been printed at a large scale on Fomex and layered between vinyl graphics.  Bring on the Summer we say.

Ralph Lauren, London

Another winning scheme from Ralph Lauren with their flora covered backdrop and amazing products.  There isn't a great deal for us to comment on here although there is one notable point and that is that they have used Black figures in their windows.  We cant remember a time when a brand used all Black mannequins in their windows and it is sadly quite difficult to even find mannequins that represent any ethnicity in schemes which is slightly odd given the diversity of the shopping public although this is possibly because nearly everyone is using quite generic human / abstract forms with no discernible features (although they do still tend to be in a White finish nonetheless)  We just wanted to celebrate this important point which may otherwise go overlooked and great to see RL leading the way.

Topshop, London

We always feel that we have to rush to get this brands' schemes online as they change them so quickly that its often already yesterday news and of course we like to keep our entries here current.  For their latest scheme the team have used this fantastic neon back drop which still allows the passersby to see into and around the space beyond and glows beautifully across Oxford street here in the centre of it all.

Fortnum and Mason, London

'Every Cup tells a story' is the strap line at Fortnum's right now with their unusually (slightly) minimal scheme with a big nod to some old school presentation.  We really are missing the techniques and humour on the high street right now, possibly due to globalisation and homogenization of everything around us?  So, mercifully brands like Fortnum and Mason are still around to show us how its done and there are still some brilliant artists around who understand the various dynamics required for exemplary presentation (however for how much longer?) but not a generic graphic in sight so maybe just watch and learn.

Burberry, London

We saw this scheme a couple of weeks ago and we have been slightly hesitant in including it as there are so few elements for us to comment on.  There are however a series of textured forms onto which the product has been positioned and placed but beyond that what else can we say?

Hardy Amies, London

This is a brand which has never appeared here although as with so much of Saville Row there is so little to capture in the form of Visual Merchandising for us to include.  Well, until now that is.  Here at Hardy Amies which has an amazing authenticity and quality with of course Mr, Amies himself being the official dressmaker to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II from 1952 until his retirement in 1989 we have spotted these out sized handkerchief forms with instructions in vinyl placed on the fenestration probably from the man himself..... "You can wear a dark Blue suit and tie with a pale Blue shirt and navy Blue socks, but then you must then have a patterned Silk handkerchief.  The types of stores along this street clearly still have a market available to them although the question is sadly probably for how much longer?

Christian Louboutin, London

We included a smaller version of this scheme at the brands Rue St. Honore store in Paris recently, however just look at the bigger scheme.  This space age scheme taking over the Louboutin stores now across the globe launches their SS17 collection.  Featuring chrome UFO pods surrounded by jewel-tone cabochon lights, a galactic star-filled back drop and Louboutin's interpretation of a glamorous astronaut with their delicious product floating in zero gravity on the periphery.  There are just some schemes we wish we had thought of ourselves.   Grateful thanks to the team from www.studioxag.com for sharing these with us.

Joseph, London

Joseph does it again.  Taking inspiration from the SS17 Jil Sander show collection and their beautiful pleated pieces in soft blush Pink tones which reflect the colours and textures of the Antelope Navejo canyon in the Arizona desert where the water and sand carves flowing shapes into the rocks of the narrow passageways of the amazing natural landscape, the team have created this incredible installation at their Brompton Road store with a 3D textured hand carved back wall and free standing organic forms with an artificial Pink coloured stream dissecting through it.  An all round beautiful scheme and stunning product.

Anthropologie, London

There's nothing like a good old rummage around Anthropologie and getting those creative juices flowing with the abundance of creativity in their stores.  Clearly we're already into Spring schemes and with their flora and pentagonal / honey comb inspired structured installation (at least at their Regent street store although of course the beauty of this brand is that there are so many variations on the theme across their stores) here's just one interpretation of their current global directive.

Louis Vuitton, London

Wow, this are a very dramatic installation at LV along Bond street right now.  The scheme is possibly linked to the Louvre and the Cour Marly's majestic sculpture hall where the brands AW17 runway show was held although we can also see references to all sort of amazing places around Europe such as the Gardens of Bomarzo which we have included here previously but if you are not familiar with it then do do a quick search in your preferred browser as it really is a magical place and great for inspiration.

The newest fragrance from this incredible brand has recently been launch; Mon Guerlain created from Carla Lavender and Sambac Jasmin.  Working in  conjunction with the amazing www.millingtonassociates.com  to create this scheme of beautifully illuminated plinths, Golden backdrop mixed with a  trompe l'oeil effect, this is one window where we wish we could share the scent too.

Desigual, London

There appears to be a bit of a Russian theme running across several schemes in town right now and this one at Desigual is particularly fun.  With their outsized Matryoshka doll (or Russian nesting doll to the layman) and mannequins with stereotypical braided hair complete with kokoshnik's (do correct us if we are wrong) this possibly ties in with the current exhibition of Russian Art at the Royal Academy here in the centre of it all?
