Louis Vuitton, London

We do love a great LV window scheme as they put so much thought into their windows and always super quality.  While we wait for the launch of their brand new store further along Bond street which is still going through renovations this smaller store along Bond street is their current temporary home.  In their current scheme they appear to be using dream catchers (or sacred hoops) as their props here although we can only guess of course.

Loewe, London

It is always so exciting to find new stores opening.  This brand previously had a tiny presence along Mount street (maybe the store is still there although we will need to check back).  Here in the centre of it all Loewe have opened this stunning space with the implementation of gorgeous colours, cacti and a more relaxed feel for a luxury brand store.  What is also interesting is that the barrier of closed backed windows has been dropped in favour of the open space which of course is far more inviting.

Hugo Boss, London

Its been a while since we looked at this brand although they have been doing some quite interesting schemes - not easy for a multiple.  Repetition of the brand name has been applied across the whole of the backdrop here in raised lettering although we do seem to remember seeing one of these installations with some of the lettering illuminated however this doesn't seem to have been applied to the store along Bond street.

Fendi, London

This is such an interesting campaign right now with the launch of their Fendi RomAmor collection here at the brands store along Bond street.  What is particularly interesting is that quite a few of the luxury brands are launching similar-ish collections (for example, Longchamp and Burberry) featuring bold graphics on a lot of new products which then inform their product-led window schemes.

Emporio Armani, London

This is quite an interesting installation at EA right now although we arent quite sure if it is supposed be be something or just one of those gap filling schemes?  The windows appear to have some kind of perspex (?) structure in place which surrounds the product with wrapped bands - slightly similar to some of the Rick Owens DrkShdw collection we have spotted recently.

Bally, London

This brand is looking so interesting at the moment and ever so slightly bordering on a kind of Cos  / Burberry look with their 'concrete' blocks, metal frames and Yellow coloured bust heads.  We do love these kinds of head forms even if we have seen them crop up over time at multiple brands.  They look great, and in this shocking Yellow tone, even better.

Chelsea in Bloom, London

Summer here in London appears to be in full-swing (well, at least for now) and the annual Chelsea Flower show is currently demonstrating the best of the best in flora and garden design. Linked to this, retailers around Knightsbridge, Sloane square and the Kings road areas of London are involved in the Chelsea in Bloom competition.  This year the theme is Under the Sea and as you can see here in our images there are some amazing installations to be viewed all across this area.  Do drop by and have a look before it finishes (probably tomorrow).

Ermenegildo, Zegna

This brand never disappoints us with their window installations and they are clearly an important factor to the brand.  Right now, these giant sized balls of thread (possibly references to Wool?) hang from the ceiling to the floors of their windows here along Bond street in a repetition format.

Dior, London

This is such an interesting installation at this brand at the moment.  We thought we recognised the neon words here from a long time ago and of course it is the name of a classic book by the author Rozsika Parker - The Subversive Stitch.  Whether there is a link here between the book and this scheme is unknown to us at this stage although it does seem to be quite plausible given that the overview of the book is the reciprocal relationship between women and embroidery, the world of domesticity and the subsequent breakthrough into Art and Design.  We do hope that there are clear links between the two as this would highlight a particularly interesting direction for retail store windows.

Diane Von Furstenberg, London

Wow, this must be one of the best windows we have seen at this brand in quite some time.  With a huge nod to Lady Liberty complete with pedestals and mannequins wearing crowns.  What is quite difficult to capture in an image is the vinyl on the fenestration here which you can just make out if you look closely - the outline of the face from the famous statue itself.

Agent Provocateur, London

We're never quite sure how we feel about this brands' installations as they seem to belong to a long gone period in history.  Think Benny Hill.  We have no doubt that the product is a quality one although these kind of innuendo-style windows just don't seem to reflect modern society.  It may be a case that they do reflect their target audience but for some of us at least, well, we moved on 20 years ago.

Zara, London

While there isn't a great deal we can comment on here we wanted to include this scheme as even in its simplicity it looks real cool.  We usually have a look at this brand anyway although their homeware products which we are huge fans of doesn't usually get the VM treatment however their store along Regent street here in the centre of it all is really looking interesting right now.

Timberland, London

Sustainability is a thread we are seeing more and more in retail store windows (remember Ralph Lauren).  It is great to see that even these large global multiples have their fingers on the pulse of the high street and this ever developing theme which is critically important to our own human longevity is given the promotion it rightly deserves.  The only thing that we are still unsure of is that the end products still look rather generic to us.  However a great cause indeed and worth shouting about.

Michael Kors, London

We thought we had seen every combination of graphics that were possibly, although clearly not.  The MK initials fill this scheme (just in case you were not sure which brand you are looking at) although quite an interesting silhouette here behind the image of the model wearing the product.  The scheme is also supported with the MK initials in vinyl on the fenestration and repetition, of, you guessed it, MK covered plinths also in a repetition format.
