Versace, London

While the world is going bonkers at least we have some great windows to look at albeit right now from afar.  Here at this brand Golden Palm trees dominate at their store along Sloane street complete what appears to be a faux marble backdrop.  We hope you are safe wherever you are in the world and we will post again in a couple of days.

Hogan, London

We are finding ourselves nearing the end of our bank of visuals right now and we're not quite sure how long we can keep adding to this site although we will try to do as much as we can to bring you daily visual updates.  As everything is beginning to look apocalyptic out there and we're socially distancing, if wherever you are in the world and would like to contribute some visuals of what is happening in retail store windows where you are then we would be happy to share these here for you with full credit given.  This isn't the end of the road for us of course,  just a small bump in the road.  In the meantime, here are some visuals from Hogan along Sloane street.

Loro Piana, London

You may remember that we recently posted two previous schemes based on the use of rope / craft recently, one at the amazing Harvey Nichols and another at Anya Hindmarch.  Here at Loro Piana, while a rather simpler version is nonetheless clearly linked to the same trend.  On another note, we still sticking with our social distancing but we hope to be out and about soon to keep you up to date with the latest in retail store windows, albeit under the cover of darkness when the streets are quiet.

Dolce and Gabbana, London

We do love a bit of leopard print....Grrrrr....and a good dose of exotica.  As always this brand massively delivers with their schemes and this one along Bond street looks so interesting.  We're nearly at the stage (possibly?) of a lock down here in London (but it is only a maybe at this stage) although we ourselves are continuing to socially distance ourselves so that we stay well and are able to keep bringing you the latest in retail store windows.  We are gradually running out of images although we will keep posting for as long as we can.

Sergio Rossi, London

We slightly regret not making a video of this installation as the lighting twinkles quite beautifully in this scheme.  This is also quite a difficult one to explain, however essentially the 'points' holding the product and letters flash very gently in the window generating a really interesting focal point at the store along Mount street.

Moncler, London

We're still here, at least for now while the Corona saga rages on, so we can bring you some of the latest schemes out there on the high street.  We have a feeling not much will change for a while however rest assured as long as we can get out there onto the streets we will bring you some of the latest schemes.  Here at Moncler their signature brand logo punctuates their windows with the addition of a bit of neon.  Naturally it's not very clear how this works however we have put a link onto our Insta which you can view through the link below.

Chanel, London

Wow, this brand are looking so good right now.  After years and years in the Visual Merchandising wilderness someone somewhere has clearly got hold of the brand and given it a good shake.  Gone are those horrible pin headed mannequins that always looked so odd in their clothing with a huge dose of visual love and there you go.  A slick and interesting scheme for a brand which deserved it.

Prada, London

We're going to do what we can to keep going during this awful and strange period of time that we all now find ourselves in.  Thankfully we are usually out and about during the evening so trying our best to avoid the corona virus but as you will all know this is no easy task.  We have no idea how this will affect the visual industry and whether schemes will change as frequently as they usually do so we guess just watch this space.  In the meantime this brand is looking really great right now at their Sloane street store with a big nod to Spring and their large format Blossom graphic.

Fenwick, London

We've been waxing lyrical about the windows here at this brand for some time now as they appear to have rocketed into the stratosphere with their schemes.  We don't wish to be unkind of course although this one is probably not their finest installation.   It doesn't help that Victoria's Secret is beaming across the road and reflecting on their windows and maybe their budgets have been cut.  Who knows.  Anyway the current scheme, a kind of urban street / old store interior complete with foliage and of course their delish products.

Ralph Lauren, London

All of the glamour of Hollywood is captured in this beautiful scheme here at RL.  While it is actually a very simple installation just look at how amazing the product looks.  And, while we are not big fans of large format graphics the backdrop has been so carefully created together with just one - two props in each window that we cant help but love it.

Roger Vivier, London

We first found this brand while perusing the stores of Paris as they had a really interesting Black and White installation in their windows, so, we were really pleased to see them open a store in London as they clearly lavish some love on their Visual merchandising.  Currently the brand have installed a lush garden scene in their windows complete with ferns and what looks like pampas grass.  Interestingly the sale of Pampas grass has sadly plummeted here in the UK due to their sexual connotation.  Pampas grass was once common across the gardens of suburbia although it became known as a sign that the persons who lived at that particular address were swingers (married couples swopping partners).  You're welcome.

Smythson, London

We do love a great Smythson scheme and they never disappoint.   We also love the energy and clearly there is a passion by the brand to produce great installations.  Interestingly, and whether this has anything at all to do with this scheme we have no idea, however during the 1950's and post War Europe we did see a lot of these metal structures being used in windows as the amount of raw materials to produce schemes was very limited.  There is also a bit of a Fine Art and particularly, it seems references to drawings which is particularly interesting here.

Michael Kors, London

Talk about amazing timing.  While we have seen travel themed schemes previously this one absolutely hits the mark.  With travel bans (sort of) in place this is absolutely of the moment and one of the best schemes we have seen from this brand.  Just add a few corona's flying around and wham.! absolutely topical and the kind of razor sharp schemes we miss seeing.   Yes, ok, in these hypersensitive times that we find ourselves in it may not be appropriate although we miss laughing in the face of adversity.

Anya Hindmarch, London

You may remember that we recently posted the magnificent windows at Harvey Nichols which featured incredible examples of rope structures and macrame.  Clearly there is a great big Fashion link here as we've also spotted it at this brand too.  We're guessing that this all connected to their product of course which as you can see from the image below features macrame handles.  These images are across two of their stores, Bond Street and Sloane Street.

Diane Von Furstenberg, London

This brand seem to approach their windows with either a feast or famine strategy.  One minute their windows have a really interesting narrative complete with props and so on and other times they have barely anything at all.  With reference to some of their products the brand have adopted the latter approach this time complete with graphic backdrop with the same design applied to their plinths.

Zara, London

Looking rather sculptural at the moment is this brand.  With a very crisp installation which we thought initially were references to Architecture although on reflection probably not although which artist is referenced here is not quite clear.  What is difficult to capture is of course the moving digital back drop in their main window space which always looks rather pixelated in our images although is actually very clear in reality.
