Young London Collection

Images Courtesy and Copyright Association Mannequins

Just look at these little beauties.  It is so wonderful to see realistic mannequins again after what seems like eons (well 2020 may prove to be even longer than that right now) of faceless eggheads or worse still, headless figures.  Under the meticulous creative eye of the super talented creative director, Danny Letton, this gorgeous new collection was launched earlier this week capturing the zeitgeist on the street.  Not only is the creative director a talented designer but you may also know him as stylist extraordinaire.  You may also wish to check out the launch video too through the website https://association-mannequins.co.uk/ or to contact the team.  You need these guys on speed dial.

Fendi, London

This is a rather gentle scheme from this brand right now and let's face it we all need a bit that right now.  Soft pastel tones and a slick, simple environment with, as always, gorgeous products is their latest offer.  As London becomes colder, darker and currently more rain than we know what to do with this is a very comforting scheme.

Gina, London

We do love a bit of Gina and while on our travels along Mount street we came across their latest scheme.  There are some very nice collisions of materials here although their usually super sparkly product appears to be quite lost amongst it all which is a shame.  We're actually very surprised that any brands at all have something new in their windows and while we have no idea if there is any meaning behind this one other than pure abstraction we are grateful for the visual of it all anyway.

Fortnum and Mason, London

Call us old romantics if you will although we did love going to see the windows here before it started to become all a bit corporate.  But, this is what happens when marketing departments get their hands on Visual Merchandising, because, well, we're all so incredibly creative, right?  There are still some snippets of wonderfulness with their nod to Halloween but we want more of that although it seems that that fantastic bit of creativity or Olde Skool if you like is just being squeezed out of this brand and well, we guess dropping in a graphic is just so much cheaper.  We have our fingers crossed that the pending Christmas scheme will bring us back and wanting more....unless it's just a graphic of course.

Liberty, London

We do love a bit of Loewe and naturally therefore drawn into this scheme.  Just look at these delish products.  We only wish we could share the scent with you (although we couldn't actually smell these candles from the outside of the windows).  We're guessing that this amazing brand have paid quite a few pretty pennies to take over this stores' windows (just like any department store) which of course is absolutely fine although we are dying to see what they do for Christmas.  It's still October so any day now then we guess.

Coach, London

We're really loving this brand at the moment and just look at these fantastic graphics too.  We've purchased a few of their products ourselves and while we don't need to vouch for their quality they do produce some great stuff.  This one is their Regent street store right now covered in this graffiti-like imagery and text which really does make this store and brand look so exciting right now.

Rimowa, London

This is the latest scheme from this brand although it is sort of similar to the last scheme so there really isn't a lot more that we can add to this one apart from mentioning that it is a good example of a radiating form.  Fingers crossed that the next scheme will be completely different.

Levis, London

If there is one thought we hadn't had was that Levis would join forces with Lego....but then it is 2020 and stranger things have happened, right?  From a cursory glance at the Levi's website, this is a limited edition collaboration (in other words hurry and buy this stuff).  We were pleased to see that some of the products are labelled sustainable although how much of it is would need further investigation, particularly considering that to produce a pair of Denim jeans takes a vast amount of water.  Anyway, there is a slight nod to Mondrian in the product but as always they do produce quality stuff.

Zara Home, London

We often pass this window and pause for a short while as although this is a huge space they don't cram it with a tonne of product.  OK, well we would love to see a bit of an ABC New York influence here but then it is Zara and the products are much better value.   We are also leaning towards a maximalism influence in our interior preferences too although just having this quite austere approach makes their products look so appealing.

Ted Baker, London

Its been a while since we've been here although they do produce some fun schemes.  Currently, the strap line is A Mind of Your Own and Be Curious.  How these are related is unclear.  However, this is a topical scheme we guess of a domestic situation and let's face it we're probably all there at the moment.  Great to see some smashing of stereotypes with the use of a male mannequin doing the ironing and a great fun narrative too.

Timberland, London

Wow, just look at this brand.  We're not regular shoppers here although we came across this relatively small store of theirs along Carnaby Street here in central London while in search of the new Rolling Stones store.  We've never seen this brand looking so good with their living wall, and wonderful props which all looks like there is a definite steer towards sustainability. This way of presenting has been creeping into their larger store however great to see such impressive commitment.

Massimo Dutti, London

As always this brand have yet again produced a very crisp scheme at their Regent Street store.  It's probably not the most interesting we have seen here although right now, and of course to be fair to them none of us are in a position to demand anything grander right now, they have produced something in the form of Visual Merchandising which is always appreciated.  So branches it is then.

Hackett, London

We do love a bit of gravity defying mannequins in windows and of course as always the team here have produced another wonderful scheme at their Regent street store.  No easy task in our current times, but this one is as sharp as their product.  Let's face it, menswear can be so boring to look at however with their clever wit and wonderful humour this brand have pulled off another wonderful scheme.  Croquet anyone?

Anthropologie, London

How beautifully presented it this scheme.  We were glad to find a bit of recycling in this window (well they do anyway but we wanted to point it out) with the use of these structures holding the product.  The product it self has been presented as a historical still-life painting all wonderfully presented as always.  Finishing the scheme is a wonderful radiating form consisting of cut paper Autumnal leaves.
